Kristine Howard

Certified Practising Speech Pathologist

Kristine is a speech pathologist who, after travelling the world, is convinced that communication is valuable regardless of ethnicity, language and where one lives. Kristine is a speech pathologist who takes pride in ensuring that everyone, regardless of the language spoken, can overcome language barriers and communicate by using objects, facial expressions, and body language. These are universal methods of communication. From her travels, Kristine is convinced that communication is our most powerful possession, hence decided to pursue a degree in speech pathology as a mature student.

During her studying journey, Kristine positioned herself well-known health organisations to gain a hands-on understanding of the NDIS industry and hospital systems. She took opportunities to work closely with other speech pathologists so that she can better equip herself for the future as a practicing therapist. Kristine applies this forward-thinking approach into her therapy practice where she factors in long term, practical objectives for clients and helps build their skills capacity to attain success as quickly as possible.

Kristine thoroughly believes and strives for clients to become independent in communication. She does this by applying evidence-based practice with culturally sensitive techniques and consideration of all communication methods such as verbal speech, gestures, behaviours and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems. Kristine’s demeanour is calm and understanding with a passion to make a difference in someone’s life.

Alongside being a speech pathologist, Kristine is a mother of two young children and Business Analyst. Her extensive professional experience as a business analyst and speech pathologist has led her into these two current roles that heavily rely on problem-solving skills to attain the desired results for clients and/or organisations.
