Thank you for choosing RT Speech and Hearing. Please take a moment to read our booking terms and conditions (T&C). These T&Cs are in place for us to have a common understanding of our expectations and rights with each booking. When you book with us, you consent to the T&Cs below.
All appointments are subject to our Booking Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.
Booking Terms & Conditions
When you book with us, you consent to the terms and conditions listed below.
We look forward to seeing you.
Our clinic is open Mondays to Fridays, 9am to 5pm each day.
We may offer Saturday or after hours appointments upon arrangement.
Advanced bookings are preferred. However, please call 0411 104 190 or (08) 6556 8888 if you need to consult an audiologist or speech pathologist urgently.
Attendance
Please arrive at least 5 minutes before the appointment as we may need to confirm your details. We are working towards becoming a paperless practice. As such, we may send you our intake form ahead of your appointment for you to complete electronically. If you prefer to complete this by hand, please let us know on arrival.
Cancellation Policy
NDIS clients: We will send out reminders for all scheduled appointments ahead of time. No shows and appointments cancelled within 48 hours of the scheduled appointment time will incur a charge. The charge is equivalent to the booked session time, associated notes and preparation time, and travel (if travel has occurred). Please refer to your service agreement for details of our cancellation policy.
Private paying clients: We will send out reminders for all scheduled appointments. No shows and appointments cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment time will incur a fee of $50. We may request pre-payment should there be a trend of repeated cancellations, to cover the overheads associated with the appointment.
If we are unable to fulfil the appointment due to reasons beyond our control (e.g., illness, emergencies), we will contact you as soon as possible to offer alternative appointment times. You will not be charged for cancellations that are initiated by us.
Payment
You acknowledge that you are responsible for fees arising from consultations with the clinicians at RT Speech and Hearing.
You agree to pay the total invoice due on the day of your consultation. This applies to privately paying clients.
If you are a NDIS participant, you agree to pay the total invoice due by the due date on your invoice.
We aim to be transparent about pricing and timeframe. If anything is unclear, please contact us and we will clarify.
We accept payment by cash, credit card, debit card or ETPOS. We do not charge you transaction fees. We do not accept cheques.
You may refer to our funding options page for information regarding rebates for eligible clients receiving audiology and speech pathology services.
We know that everyone’s communication, mealtime and hearing needs are different. Reflecting individual differences, the cost of hearing and speech pathology assessments and interventions that are performed by us may vary depending on the procedures completed.
We are a private billing audiology and speech pathology practice.
RT Speech and Hearing is an accredited provider under the Australian Government-Funded Hearing Services Program (HSP).
Audiology and Speech Pathology students and interns
We occasionally have audiology and speech pathology students or interns on placement with us. Students need opportunities to carry out speech pathology and audiology assessments and interventions to learn. All services carried out by students are supervised by qualified clinicians. Your consent to having students work with you plays a vital role in helping to shape the knowledge and practices of future healthcare professionals. Please let us know in advance or on arrival if you do not wish to have a student or intern present at your appointment.
Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns about our booking T&C. Our contact details are: info@rtspeechandhearing.com and 0411104190 (mobile).
